Hunter Marshall scored the game-winning goal at Pawling to lift Dover to the 1-0 league win on the road on October 5.
Marshall scored the Dover goal midway through the second half. Scott Garcia took the throw-in from the right side and sent the ball in a high arc all the way to the center of the field and to about the 20-yard line. Marshall saw the ball take one bounce in a crowd, giving him time to get settled and squared up and his feet set, and he rocketed the shot high and just under the ball where it absolutely could not be defended.
Eric Merling, Shaun Marshall and the rest of the Dover defense pitched the shutout, keeping Dover in a position to win long enough to get the game-winning goal.
