With the 7-1 victory over the Mahopac team last Saturday night, the Pawilng boys are now 5-1 in the spring ice hockey league at the Brewster Ice Arena.

George Delavergne and Bob Paugh have organized the team that features players from last year's Pawling High School varsity who will return to defend their league champiionship, a team that reached the semi-finals in the sectional playoffs last year.

Added to that group on this spring team is some of the amazing assemblage of talent from last year's Pawling Youth Hockey Bantam Team, the squad that won its league in the Connecticut Hockey Conference.

The roster: Josh Paugh, Chris DeLavergne, Brian Schurr, Matt Burdick, John Sora, Rich Reynolds, Dylan Rooney, Tyler Rooney, Joe Leonaggio, Doug Leonaggio, Bill Vitro, Corey Vitro, Nicco Musella, Ian Lyons, Jake Anderson, Evan Barker, Danny Johnson and Jerry Deslandes

"This is a very relaxed league and team situation," said Paugh and Delavergne. "Whoever shows up plays, and everybody plays on a regular rotation. Some teams bring seniors, and some teams only bring in thier younger guys to see them play. Some of the Pawling High School varsity kids from last year are here, and some are not playing, and it is the same with the kids from last year's bantam championship team. We are here to have a good time and give the kids a chance to keep playing hockey."

Games on the remaining schedule: May 4  @ 5:40 PM, May 5  @ 8:40 PM, May 6  @ 8:20 PM, May 12 @ 8:40 PM, May 14 @ 6:50 PM, May 18 @ 5:40 PM, and May 20 @ 9:00 PM.
