AUDRY KJELLMAN

Audry F. Kjellman, 87, formerly of Pawling, NY, currently a resident of Poughkeepsie for the last four years, passed away Fri, April 6,2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie.

Born in Holyoke, MA on Feb. 22, 1920, she was the daughter of George D. and Sarah (Bligh) Hearn. She attended Classical High School in Worcester, MA, and graduated from Salter Secretarial School in Massachusetts.

She had been a bookkeeper at Pawling Rubber, L.L. Tompkins, and Bill Kieran, Inc., all of Pawling.

On Feb. 2, 1946, she married Allen G. Kjellman in Worcester, MA; Mr. Kjellman predeceased her on Aug. 2, 1996.

She was a daily communicant of St. John’s Church, Pawling when she lived there, and a member of St. John’s Catholic Daughters and Alter Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Pawling Golden Agers.

Mrs. Kjellman is survived by her son Allan Kjellman and his wife, Joan, of LaGrange, NY; granddaughters Cara and Krista Kjellman, both of NYC; her sister, Mary Louise Itkowsky of Worcester, MA; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, George B. Hearn.

Visitation was at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling Mon. April 9th 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Catholic Daughters conducted a service at 2 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted on Tues. at 11 AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling. Burial followed in St. John’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in her memory to be made to the John Hearn Scholarship Fund, Pawling High School, Pawling, NY 12564.
