Sandra Coon, 53, a resident of Holmes, NY died Thurs, May 3, 2007 at Putnam Hospital Center, Carmel.
Born on May 1, 1954 in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Andrews) Shields, and worked as a teacher at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, Bedford, NY.
She is survived by her daughters, Meghan and Alexandria Coon, both of Holmes; her former husband, William Coon, also of Holmes; her brother, James Shields of Colonial Beach, Virginia; two sisters, Betsy Finley of Norwich, CT and Margaret Yaglenski of Fairfax, VA. She is predeceased by a sister, Ruth Shields.
Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling Mon., May 7th. 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Mon at 8:30 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
