Robert Ross Cunningham, 77, a life-time resident of Pawling, passed away at his home on January 17, 2008.
  
Born in Pawling on May 17, 1930, he was the son of George and Alice (Maroney) Cunningham, and was a United States Naval Veteran.  Prior to his retirement, Mr. Cunningham was a records clerk at Chemical Bank in Pawling.
  
Mr. Cunningham was a member of the Pawling Fire Department and attended St. John’s Church.
  
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Louise Mueller Cunningham; four sons, Bruce and Shaun, both of Pawling, Craig of Wilton, CT, and Glenn of Poughkeepsie; a daughter, Terry Cunningham of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Mary Donnelly of Roanoke, VA and Eleanor Sterry of Sherman, CT; five grandchildren, Liam, Kathryn, Sean, Meghan, and Erin; and several nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his brother, George, and his sister, Jean Dumas.
  
Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling Mon. 4-6 PM.

The Hasler-Kamp Post American Legion will conduct a service at 4 PM. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues. at 11 AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
  
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Heart Association, Dutchess Region, PO Box 808, 7 Fox Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12602.
