Helen Horn Cunningham, 84, a long-time resident of Pawling, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at New Milford Hospital, New Milford, CT.
  
Born in Amenia, NY on May 16, 1923, she was the daughter of John W. and Estella (McKelvey) Horn. She was a graduate of SUNY Plattsburg, and was a Home Economics Teacher and Cafeteria Manager for the Pawling School District.  Mrs. Cunningham started the Pawling School cafeteria program.
   
On November 17, 1945, she married David Cunningham at the Central Baptist Church of Pawling; he survives at home.
  
Mrs. Cunningham was a member of the Pawling Grange #831, the Harlem Valley Order of Eastern Star, the Pawling Garden Club and Historical Society of Pawling, and a deacon and member of Christ Church.  She also volunteered as a docent at the John Kane House in Pawling.
  
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Ashley Cunningham and his wife Robin, of Winthrop, NY; a daughter, Sharon Turner and her husband Bill, of Pawling; three grandchildren, Grace Cunningham of Winthrop, NY, Jared Turner and his wife Kathryn of New Milford, CT and Bryan Turner of Pawling.  She is predeceased by a brother, Calvin Horn, who died as a child.
  
Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Monday May 5th  from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 11 AM at Christ Church, Pawling.  Burial will follow in Quaker Hill Cemetery, Pawling.
