Joseph Alfonso Falcaro, 78, a resident of Pawling for many years, passed away Fri., Sept. 7, 2007 at Putnam Ridge, Brewster, NY.
Born in Manhattan on June 20, 1929, he was the son of Joseph and Carmela (DeFalice) Falcaro. Bowling was his passion, and he was the proprietor of the Dutchess Bowl bowling alley on Route 22, Pawling for 12 years; he was also an avid Yankees fan. Most recently, he was the proprietor of the Carmel Bowl in Carmel, New York.
He is predeceased by his wife, Aida Castillo Falcaro.
Mr. Falcaro is survived by four sons, Mario of Hopewell Junction, NY, Joseph of Bronx, NY, and Salvatore and Victor Falcaro, both of Pawling; a daughter, AnneMarie Credendino, also of Pawling; a sister, Rita Accomando of the Bronx; 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main St, Pawling Sun. 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Mon., Sept. 10th at 11 AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling. Burial will follow in Pawling Cemetery, Pawling.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
