Joseph Bonavenia, 46, a resident of Pawling, passed away at home on Mon, January 14, 2008.
Born in Yonkers, NY on August 7, 1961, he attended Carmel Schools, and was the son of Anthony Bonavenia and his much adored mother, the late Josephine (Manna) Bonavenia., who predeceased him six days ago.
A local business owner in Pawling, he owned and operated J.B. Trucking , where he volunteered his time and equipment to the community numerous times.
In addition to his father, he is survived by four brothers, Anthony Jr. and his wife Michelle, Gennaro and his wife Laurie, Angelo and his wife Lynne, and Louie and his wife Joann, all of Pawling, NY; a sister, Eleanor Smith and her husband Paul, also of Pawling; and twelve nieces and nephews to whom he was devoted: Gennaro (C.J.), Ashley, Amanda, Lauren, Jeremy, Ally, Jessica, Anthony, Louis, Nicholas, Paul Jr. and Joseph.
Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY Weds. January 16th 5-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thurs 11 AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in his memory to The Northern Westchester Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center, Northern Westchester Medical Center, 400 East Main Street, Mt. Kisco, NY 10549. |
