WILBUR H. KNAPP

Wilbur H. Knapp, 89, a resident of Pawling, NY since 1932, passed away at his home in Pawling on October 4, 2007.

Born in Farmers Mills, NY on Jan. 31, 1918, he was the son on Holmes A. and Hattie (Mead) Knapp. He was a WWII Army veteran and worked in order processing at IBM, Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a member of the Pawling Fire Department for many years.

He is predeceased by his wife, Rosebud E. (Neale) Knapp, who passed away Aug. 17, 1993. He is also predeceased by an infant daughter, Alicia Eunice Knapp.

He is survived by four sisters, Marion Hart of Wappingers Falls, NY, Blanche Hart of Swanee, GA, Doris Purcell of New Port Richey, FL, and Janet Acker of Kennebunkport, ME; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted on Mon, Oct. 8th at 1:30 PM at the Beekman Cemetery, Poughquag, NY. The Rev. Peter Nargi will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in memory of Mr. Knapp be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley, The Wish House, 832 S. Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591.
