Harry W. “Bill” Maile, Jr., a resident of Pawling, NY for many years, passed away at his home on Weds., October 17, 2007.

Born in Sharon, CT on July 14, 1931, he was the son of Harry W. Maile, Sr. of Pawling, and the late Eleanor Tompkins Maile. Mr. Maile was a US Marine Corps veteran and served in Korea during 1951-1954. On June 18, 1954, he married Leah Baker in St. John’s Church, Pawling, NY; she survives at home.

Prior to his retirement in 1987, Mr. Maile was a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Pawling Highway Department for 31 years.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his son Tyler Maile and his wife Amy of Holmes, NY, and daughter Debbie Gallagher and her husband Ron of Pawling, NY; his brother John Gilbert Maile and his wife Carol of Wingdale, NY; and grandchildren Rebecca and Douglas Maile of Holmes, NY and Beth Gallagher of Boston, MA.

Arrangements are private, under the direction of the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
