Louis R. Marrone, 83, a resident of Dover Plains, formerly of Poughquag, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Sharon, CT.
Born in Manhattan on April 9, 1924, he was the son of the late Vito and Feodora (Latuani) Marrone. He served in the US Army during WWII, and prior to retiring in 2004, had been self-employed as a plumber and electrician. Mr. Marrone also enjoyed cooking pasta sauce, and is a member of the Manny Bacon Legion, Hopewell Junction.
On April 9, 1980, he married Mary Congo Martin, who survives at home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Marguerite Spreckelsen and her husband Rudy, and Marie Rosenthal and her husband Peter, all of Palm Coast, FL; five grandchildren, Angela Lotz of Cropseyville, NY, Jennifer Blaney of New Jersey, R.J. Spreckelsen of Jacksonville, FL, Angela Ressler and her husband John, and Melissa Collins and her husband Richard, all of Ocala, FL; and two great-granddaughters.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Patricia.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, March 17th at 11:30 AM at St. Denis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction, NY.
