Harriette Ragnetti
Horn and Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home
Harriette Ragnetti, known as “Cookie” to many, passed away at her home on January 23, 2008.
She lived a great life that most people would have dreamed about. Harriette was a very strong woman who fought through much hardship in her lifetime. She took care of her late mother, Harriette, for years. When her mother passed away, she was very devastated. She loved her son, Michael, more than anything else in the world; he always came first, no matter what she was going through. Harriette was the first child of her late parents, Michael and Harriette Ragnetti, who brought her into this world. She is survived by her son, Michael James Ragnetti. He did everything in his power to ensure a great life for his mother. Michael was always there when she needed him. Harriette also had four brothers, of which, Jules Ragnetti, showed the utmost respect for his sister. She is also survived by her Aunt Ronnie, who was like a second mother to her. Her son appreciates everything that her friends, Bobby and Val, have done for her throughout the years; they were always there for Cookie. Harriette is with God and her parents now; they will take great care of her.
Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on Nov. 20, 1946, she worked as an executive secretary at Lumelite in Pawling.
Friends may pay their respect to Harriette on Tues, January 29th from 8:30 – 9:30 AM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling. Burial is private.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations in memory of Harriette be made to either the American Cancer Society, Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or the American Diabetes Association, New York NY Office, 33 Seventh Avenue, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
