Norma Corbin Rivoire,79, a long-time resident of Pawling, passed away Tues, July 31, 2007 at the Bethel Health Care Facility, Bethel, CT.

Born in Sharon, CT on April 29, 1928, she was the daughter of Clement Wellington Corbin and Mary Catherine Patrick. She was an Airman First Class in the US Air Force serving from 1955-57. Before retiring in 1982 she was a supervisor for New York Telephone.

On October 7, 1972 she married Kenneth Rivoire; he predeceased her on March 21, 2001.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Pawling Grange #834, the Hasler-Kamp Post American Legion, the Quaker Hill and Pawling Historical Society, and a volunteer at the Pawling Free Library, the Pawling Community Resource and Service Center, and the Pawling Fire Department Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sister, Frances Clark and her husband John of New Smyrna Beach, FL; nephew Michael Clark and his wife Elizabeth of Pawling; niece Miriam Kolt and her husband Kurt of Rochester Hills, Michigan; one grandniece, three grandnephews, one great-grandniece, and one great-grandnephew; many cousins, and an abundance of friends.

Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main St, Pawling Thurs. 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The American Legion will conduct a service at 7 PM.

A funeral service will be conducted on Fri, Aug. 3rd at 10 AM at the United Methodist Church of Pawling with the Rev. Sung Moy officiating. Burial will follow in Pawling Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Pawling Free Library or the United Methodist Church of Pawling.
