Rita Connolly Stout, 96, a former resident of Pawling, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare, Danbury, CT.
  
Born in Tuckahoe, NY on June 25, 1911, she was the daughter of the late James and Annabelle (Rooney) Connolly.
  
Before she retired in the 1970’s, she had been a house mother at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale.
  
She is survived by a son, George Stout, Jr. of Sherman, CT; three grandchildren, Cristine Fiore, Latisia Houston, and Valerie Stout; and 5 great-grandchildren.  She is predeceased by three sons, James, Timothy, and Lowell Stout, and by two sisters Alice Connolly Smith and Dorothy Connolly.
  
Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY, Tuesday, February 5th. from 9 – 10:30 AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling.  Burial will be in the spring.
  
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
