Theodore Lewis Williams, 78, a life-long resident of Patterson, NY, passed away May 5, 2008 at Putnam Hospital Center, Carmel, NY.
Born in Patterson on January 20, 1930, he was the son of Jackson Silas Williams and Anna Essie Smith. He served in the US Army during Korea, and was a truck driver for the Department of Transportation in Lake Carmel, NY.
On March 1, 1958 he married Virginia Williams in Patterson, NY, and this year they celebrated their 50th Anniversary; she survives at home.
Mr. Williams enjoyed gardening and hunting, and was a former member of the Patterson Fire Department and the C.S.E.A.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Donald, of Patterson; two brothers, Frank Williams of Millerton, NY and Adolph Williams of Patterson, NY; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Robert, and brothers and sisters, Jack Williams, Charles Williams, Ann Cooney, Eva Grey, Marion Corino, Betty Coon, and Delbert Mead.
A funeral service was conducted on Thursday, May 8th at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY with the Rev. Mark Bouffard officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
