Jiovanni Garcia scored for Pawling in the first half, when the defender took the direct kick from straight out at about 40 yards, and lofted a specactular shotl that sank just under the bar for the Tiger goal.

Alex Chiera scored for Pawling in the second half. Garcia took the corner kick from the right side and sent it perfectly into the scoring area in front of the goal. Chiera fought for his position against a very physical Dover defense, got his feet set, and rammed a power shot into the right side of the goal to score for the Tigers.

Pawling is over-matched as a team when facing Dover, but many Tigers won one-on-one battles during the game.

Stephen Simonetti and Dylan Simonetti showed they could play for anyone, when they matched up and won many of the one-on-one races for the ball or the very physical competition for control on the ball.

Most of the Pawling players showed remarkable composure and focus late in the game, when the team had begun to tire, and the Dragons' glee and celebration mounted as the score became increasingly one-sided.

Coach Keith Yungel’s varsity roster: Eric Fischer, Malcolm Evans, Jiovanni Garcia, Kyle Dakin, Julian Kowalczyk, Chris Boyle, Josh Paugh, Brian Schurr, Dave Piazza and Alex Chiera and midfielders Dylan Simonetti, Stephen Simonetti, Joe Barthen, Gary D’Aguila, Daniel Epstein and Roman Miranda.
